Janiyah Thomas is an accomplished professional specializing in political communications and media relations and has several cycles under her belt working with Black media outlets. With her extensive experience navigating conservative politics and strategic outreach, Thomas has joined President Donald J. Trump’s campaign to continue to move the needle with a vital demographic of Americans. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a keen ability to drive engagement and is well-equipped to promote President Trump's winning message to Black Americans, a key demographic that poll after poll shows President Trump is capturing.

During the 2022 election cycle, Thomas played a pivotal role as the Black Media Manager for the Republican National Committee (RNC), contributing significantly to the historic election cycle in which the most Black Republicans were elected to Congress in over a century and sending major warning signs to Democrats about Black voters.

In 2023, Thomas joined Senator Tim Scott's presidential campaign as a Media Relations Manager, where she leveraged and expanded her media relationships and strategic communication skills to expand the campaign's visibility and outreach.

In 2024, Thomas worked as the Media Relations Director for the Republican National Convention, helping oversee media strategies for this significant political event. Now, Thomas is joining the Donald J. Trump for President campaign as the Black Media Director, continuing to drive impactful media campaigns and engage diverse communities. In this role, Thomas is dedicated to amplifying President Trump’s message of economic empowerment, lower costs, school choice, and criminal justice reform, which have positively impacted Black communities across the nation. By highlighting President Trump’s commitment to creating jobs, reducing inflation, lowering taxes, and supporting Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Thomas aims to ensure that the successes and priorities of the Trump administration are well-communicated to the Black Community.
